Our Beliefs

What We Believe

God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He exists in the three persons of the Godhead – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, undivided and co-equal in power and glory and who is the only proper object of religious worship.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God who has by His suffering and death made atonement for the whole world so that whosoever believes in Him will be saved.

The Holy Spirit is present in the world by Whom believers are set apart for spiritual works, continuing in growth and understanding of God’s Word. We practice water baptism and communion as symbolic of the Holy Spirit’s regeneration of our new life in Christ and to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross.

The Bible is God’s inspired word to us and is without error. It is through the scriptures of the Old and New Testament that our Christian faith and practice is established.

People are made in the image of God, yet are separated from Him by sin for all have sinned and come short of His standard and glory.

Salvation is God’s free gift to us provided by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, if we choose to accept it. Only by trusting in Jesus as God’s offer for forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty.

People are created to exist forever. We will exist eternally; either separated from God by sin or with God through trusting in Jesus for the forgiveness of our sin.

Our Core Values

Anointed teaching of scripture is the seed of transformation in individuals and the church. We teach to change lives (Romans 12:7; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; James 1:23–25).

All people, lost or saved, matter to God, and therefore, they matter to the church. We seek to engage in relational evangelism, mentoring others and community outreach (Luke 5:30–32; Luke 15; Matthew 18:14).

The church needs to be culturally relevant while remaining scripturally pure. We become all things without compromising the Word that we might win souls. (1 Corinthians 9:19–23).

Christ followers should be authentic in worship and desire continuous growth. We desire whole-hearted worship, authentic faith, and wholeness (Ephesians 4:25–26, 32; Hebrews 12:1; Philippians 1:6).

The church should operate as one unified body of believers. Each member united, servant-leaders one to another, using spiritual gifts according to ministry callings (1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12; Ephesians 4; Psalm 133:1).

Loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. We are to display the love of Christ and show loving relationships to the world (1 Corinthians 13; Nehemiah 3; Luke 10:1; John 13:34–35).

Life-change happens best in community. We experience God together; through discipleship and accountability (Luke 6:12–13; Acts 2:44–47).

The church should seek to honor God and inspire people through excellence. We desire to give God our best in everything we do. (Colossians 3:17; Malachi 1:6–14; Proverbs 27:17).

The church should be led by men and women who display Spirit-filled leadership. We do this through empowerment of the Spirit, ministry focus, and caring for the needs of others before ourselves. (Nehemiah 1–2; Romans 12:8; Acts 6:2–5).

The pursuit of full devotion to Christ and His cause is our goal. We display devotion through stewardship, servant-hood, fellowship, and seeking God’s Kingdom (1 Kings 11:4; Philippians 2:1–11; 2 Corinthians 8:7).
